Tour Itinerary:
Sept. 15th: Departure this morning from Grand Island with pick up along Interstate 80 going East. Lunch at the Lied Center in Nebraska City with wine tasting. This afternoon we will arrive at the Elms Resort & Spa in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. A real touch of living history is at The Elms Hotel. It was a favorite haunt of the infamous Al Capone. Former President Harry Truman also enjoyed the Elms and its European-style spa. In fact, Truman was a guest at the hotel while waiting for the results of the election for President in 1948 when he won over Dewey. BBQ dinner this evening included at the hotel.
Sept. 16th: Following breakfast (included) at the hotel you will have the morning to choose between a Spa Sampler at the Elms Spa or eighteen holes of golf (with cart) at the Excelsior Springs Golf Club. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the resort. We will leave late in the afternoon for Kansas City to attend the performance of THE LAST ROMANCE, a heartwarming boy-meets-girl comedy. What makes this one uniqued is that the boy and the girl are senior citizens! Love, like aging, they discover, is not for the weak or those without a lively sense of humor. Paul Michael play Ralph Bellini, a vigorous, full of life octogenarian with an eye for the ladies. Ralph has had a few years ot hone his best jokes and pick up lines. Marion Ross is Carol Reynolds, an attractive, very well dressed woman of a certain age who never expected another chance at love and had no defenses against Ralph.
Sept. 17th: Following breakfast (included) at the hotel, we will head for home with a stop for lunch (on your own).
